(RETD) Inah Utum in his office in Calabar.According to the Director General, the purpose of this initiative is to significantly improve air travel infrastructure and streamline aviation services in Cross River State, thereby establishing it among the top aviation service providers in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.Highlighting the vital role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Mr. Archibong affirmed the agency's commitment to leveraging this technology for aviation development through optimized flight paths, enhanced operational efficiency, and detailed infrastructure mapping to support planning and connectivity.While maintaining that the agency’s services extend beyond land administration, the DG averred that the automation features of the GIS system allow for the creation of an expansive and reliable database, which can be leveraged to support not just land management but also aviation-related planning and development.Highlighting the features of the new technology, Mr. Archibong, stated that the implementation of GIS technology will ensure more precise navigation systems, better terrain analysis, and improved safety standards for Cally airline and the proposed Advanced Aircraft Servicing Centre. Gilbert Agbor, the government expressed deep concern over the continued abuse and unlawful conversion of public assets by unscrupulous individuals, despite repeated warnings and public notices.According to the statement, the latest attempt to cart away public transformers was thwarted through the vigilance of concerned residents in Obudu and the prompt intervention of the Nigeria Police Force. Emmanuel Essien drew from Psalm 107:1–43, speaking on the theme “God Behind the Scene.” He emphasized that God is always the unseen actor in all life’s circumstances—whether in hardship, trials, or triumphs. “Even when things appear tough or unclear, God remains in control. He will answer if you trust that He’s in charge and call on Him,” the clergyman declared.Rev. Essien reminded the congregation that thanksgiving is a lifestyle expected of believers.
