The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Cross River State Council, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Her Excellency, Bishop Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the First Lady of Cross River State, as she marks her 61st birthday today.
In a message jointly signed by the Chairman of the NUJ Cross River State Council, Comrade Archibong Bassey, and her Secretary, Comrade Mike Abang, the union celebrated the First Lady for her extraordinary contributions to society, highlighting her unwavering faith, compassion, and commitment to humanitarian causes. “Your Excellency, as a woman of faith, compassion, and purpose, you have continued to inspire Cross Riverians through your selfless devotion to uplifting the lives of women, children, and the less privileged,” Bassey said in the tribute.
Bishop Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, a respected bishop, mentor, mother, and partner in governance, has been a constant pillar of support to His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu, and a beacon of hope for many families across the state. Her tireless efforts in advocating for the vulnerable have made a significant impact on the social and spiritual fabric of Cross River State.
As the union celebrated her remarkable legacy of grace, strength, and resilience, they also prayed for continued good health and divine strength for the First Lady. “We pray that God grants you many more years of sound health, divine strength, and continued impact in the lives of our people,” Comrade Bassey added.
The NUJ’s warm birthday wishes were echoed by the union’s Secretary, Mike Abang, who joined in celebrating Bishop Eyoanwan Bassey Otu’s significant contributions to Cross River State.
