Cross River State Commissioner for Information,Mr Erasmus Ekpang has stated that the on-going Hit FM 95.9 Radio "Calabar Creative Academy",is a veritable platform to improve the technical skills of upcoming practitioners and add great value to the Events management and Entertainment industry in the State.
Mr Ekpang stated this after undertaking a brief interactive session with the different thematic break-out groups of the Calabar Creative Academy training currently taking place at the premises of the Hit FM 95.9 Radio as part of activities to mark the Eighth Anniversary of Hit FM 95.9 Radio in Calabar.
The Commissioner lauded the Management of the best music,best talk Radio Station led by Mr. Patrick Ugbe, for the initiative,which he pointed out was a critical part of the Station's Corporate Social Responsibility programme and tasked participants to make the best out of the academy so that they can still be viable in the nearest future.
"I appreciate you all for taking out time to come here to learn and tap from the vast experiences of our seasoned experts around us today" adding, "I can see Edit Lawani,I can see Otobong Ekpenyong and Harmony Odwong of Delfaro productions.All of them are Africa's leading Event Producers and Facilitators capable of impacting on our younger generations to better their lots".
The Cross River Information Boss charged the Hit FM Radio Management to strive harder to sustain the momentum so far achieved in the broadcast industry by ensuring that they break new grounds in broadcasting in this part of Nigeria.
"Hit FM 95.9 Radio is a household name in Calabar today.This is because of your quality programming and very incisive and timely news reportage. It can always get better, Commissioner Ekpang explained, pointing out that "we want you to veer into Television Broadcasting and let our people derived maximum satisfaction from it",he continued.
The three days Calabar Creative Academy is a training programme initiated by Hit FM 95.9 Radio as part of activities to mark her Eighth Anniversary of uninterrupted broadcasting in the State in the areas of Audio Engineering,lighting Designs, Documentary production ,Events Production and Management.
The training sessions are aimed at upgrading the technical skills of Calabar based Practitioners in the various thematic areas.
On behalf of the Cross River State Government ,the Information Commissioner congratulated Hit FM for the leaps these eight years and wished them more success in the years ahead .
