The Ministry of International Donor Coordination has held a prayer session to commit activities of the Ministry into the hand's of God for guidance in the year 2024. The prayer session held at the Commissioner's office, SPC Building, New Secretariat Complex, Calabar.
Delivering his sermon with the theme without Christ you can do nothing the officiating Priest, Rev. Stephen Okah of the Lutheran Church old Odukpani road, Calabar draw his message from St. John gospel chapter 15 reading at verses 4 and 5. He said we are like branches of a tree while Christ is the tree and root, therefore, we can only survive and flourish if we abide in Him.
Rev. Okah took time to Admonished Staff of the Ministry on the benefits of abiding and hoping in Christ Jesus for all expectations in life peacefully, adding that, there is nothing impossible with God.
Adding his voice, the Commissioner of the Ministry, Elder. Hippolatus Lukpata said he trust in God and that anything handed over to God for safe keep is well protected and thanked for life and the provisions He has made. The prayers session is to acknowledged that without God nothing can be achieved, therefore, let God drive the Ministry's activities in 2024 and thanked Staff for the attendance.
The prayer session featured different prayers points which includes prayer for the individuals progress, prayers for the progress and development of the Ministry and State. Prayer for the protections of lives including that of the Governor to enable him implement his people's first agenda.
The session also witnessed praise and worship to adore and glorify God for His love and kindness to His children.
In attendance were the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Chris Anake, directors, head's of departments, and all classes of Staff in the Ministry.
