Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Erasmus Ekpang, has described the affirmation of Governor Otu’s election by the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos, as the true position of the People’s mandate as freely given on March 18,2023.
Commissioner Ekpang who bared his mind in Calabar after the Appeal Court Justices affirmed that Senator Bassey Edet Otu was surly elected Governor of Cross River State by Cross Riverians, noted that the voice of the people was divine and that nobody can challenge the supremacy of the Almighty God.
He use the opportunity to again call on the opposition politicians to bend to the supremacy of the people by accepting the verdict of the people at the Court of Appeal in good fate while also admonishing them to join hands with Governor Otu to take Cross River State to greater height.
On whether the opposition will still approach the Supreme Court for redress, the Cross River State Image maker said nothing will change at the appellate Court ,emphasizing that the word of God in the Holy Book has never changed since creation and shall not change in this era.
